Las Vegas, Nevada - Addie Samuel Dawson,80, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Addie was the first child born to the union of Virginia Hall and Robert Samuel. She graduated from Rancho High School.
She worked for the Retail Clerks Union as a bookkeeper and later as a grocery checker for more than 20 years, spending most of those years with Vegas Village and Smith's Food & Drug. Following her heart toward public service, Addie pursued a career as a Nevada State Correctional Officer. After completing her training in Tonopah, Nevada, she proudly served at the Jean Conservation Camp before continuing her career at High Desert State Prison, where she worked for over 20 years until her retirement.
