Ali Ashraf Sadoughian (Doc Al) Obituary

Cincinnati, OH - Col. Ali A. Sadoughian, M.D., age 88, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026.

He was born on August 22, 1937 in Kermanshah, Iran, the fourth of seven children to parents Ali and Sultanate Sadoughian.

After graduating from Tehran University with a medical degree, he came to America eventually settling in Milwaukee where he served as a passionate and successful cardiologist.

His love of flying led him to enlist in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Colonel and the nickname "Doc Al" which stuck with him for the rest of his life. In the early 2000's, Doc felt the call for warmer weather and moved to Henderson, NV where he continued to practice medicine and eventually retired from the VA.

During his time in Nevada, Ali found the most fulfilling relationship of his life and lived happily with his partner, Elenore Koch, for 18 wonderful years.

Since childhood he was always very athletic and loved playing golf, tennis, volleyball and most recently, ping pong! He will be remembered for his playfulness, charming personality and living his life with purpose.

He is survived by his son, Ali R. (Vicki), and daughters Hallah (Gabe) Nunez and Leila; and grandchildren AJ, Mila and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Meli.

Per Doc Al's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.
