Las Vegas, Nevada - Las Vegas resident for 25 years transitioned from Unfinity Hospice on February 9, 2026. Born in Philadelphia on May 18, 1951 to Eleanor Ester Boyer and Alonzo Elijah Gilbert. Both parents and brother Geno preceded him in death. Survived by sister Brenda Gilbert Cuffy and brother Pete Gilbert alone with aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He spent 5 years in the Army. Graduated from Temple University in Criminal Justice. Retired from the state of Pennsylvania from Norristown State Hospital. Was a proud member of the Philadelphia Horticultural Society. He enjoyed. Photography, gardening, exploring food-cooking and eating.
He will be paid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City. Services will be held at a later date in the Philadelphia area.
