ANITA ROSE DETWILLER

Anita died on May 5, 2026 at the age of 76 years. She passed away from cancer in hospice care at her home in Las Vegas, NV. Anita was born to Otto and Eileen Haas in Modesto, CA, on August 23, 1949. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Peter and her sister Sandra Haas and brother Fred Haas. Anita was a swimmer from grade school through college. Anita attended Cal Berkley as an undergrad and graduated with an accounting degree at UNR. She was a world traveler after college and participated in crewing on sailing vacations in the Caribbean and the south pacific. Anita started her career as a table games dealer at the Crystal Bay club in Lake Tahoe. After more than forty years dealing multiple games she retired from the Bellagio. Anita was a strong supporter of numerous charities caring for the welfare of animals. She was known by everyone as a happy heart with a willing smile. She was the love of my life, and I will feel her loss forever. The celebration of life will be held at a later date.
