Las Vegas, Nevada - Arlene Abbott Solomon, 88, passed away November 24, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on October 4, 1937 in Mesquite, NV to Harmon Deloy Abbott and Zelma Sophia Cooper. She married Craig Norval Solomon on June 1, 1956 in St. George, UT.
Arlene loved crafts, and loved to work on her pottery, water colors, sculpting, and silk screen printing. She was also an excellent writer. She worked as an accounting Assistant for many years. She was a kind and generous person, and was very devoted to her family.
She is survived by her children, Lyly David (Laura Jean Crandall) Solomon, Kathy Solomon (Scott Nash) Nash, and Carl Abbott Solomon; her nine grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and her siblings, M. Wesley Abbott, Bruce Lee Abbott, James C. Abbott, and Eddy Abbott. She is preceded in death by her husband, Craig Norval Solomon; her brother, Gary W. Abbott; and her son, Joel Abbott Solomon.
A viewing will be held on December 3, 2025, 9-9:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 8525 Thom Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held on December 3, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at the Mesquite Cemetery, 31 Hillside Drive, Mesquite, NV 89027.
