Arlene Catherine Whitehead-Cepeda Obituary

Grants Pass, OR - Arlene Cepeda was born in St Louis, Missouri, was raised and married in San Diego, California, and retired to Las Vegas, Nevada.

After graduating from Hoover High School, Arlene worked for See's Candies in La Mesa. An introduction by a friend led to her marriage to Dan Cepeda in 1965. They were happily married for 53 years until Dan's passing in 2018.

She spent most of her working career with grocery chains Food Basket, Lucky, and finally Albertsons until retirement in the late 90s.

Arlene is remembered for her forthrightness, intelligence, kindness, generosity, and love for her pets. She loved to travel with Dan and supported his passion for the martial arts. In later years, both she and Dan found enjoyment with the retired community in Las Ve- gas, meeting often for Tai Chi and dog walks, and reunions with old San Diego friends.

She is survived by her stepson Dan Cepeda, Jr., nephews James, Mike, and David Humphreys, and cousin Tom Turner.
