CANDACE SUZANNE GANS

Candace Suzanne Gans, age 77, of North Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Candace Suzanne (Clawson) Gans was born in Wolf Lake, Indiana on August 9, 1947. Her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, from an Air Force Base in Japan when she was 17 in 1964. She continued her education in Las Vegas, completing her senior year at Rancho High School and graduated in 1965. She then enrolled at NSU in the University's (now UNLV) first Nursing School class and graduated in 1967. She worked at Valley Hospital from1973 to 1996. Candace was preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Ruby Clawson, and her grandson Christopher S. Gans. She is survived by her husband Eugene J. Gans, and two children, son Christopher J. Gans and daughter Kerri L. (Troy) Thornton, Six grand

children: Jennifer Suzanne Jo Gans, Michael Arron Gans, Kelsie L. (Spencer) Nielsen, Connor J. (Holly) Thornton, and Colby G. (Genevieve) Thornton, Eight great grandchildren: Mathieu T. Gans, Issiaha J. Gans, Gabriel A. Gans, Christian E. Gans, Annalyn S. Nielsen, Dane B. Nielsen, Savannah J. Thornton, and Georgia J. Thornton, And two Brothers: Douglas (Jenny) Clawson and Stanley Clawson. Services will be private.
