CAROL ROSE MCCULLOUGH

Carol Rose McCullough, nee Kopp, passed away peacefully on April 15 in Henderson after a lengthy Alzheimers bout. She was born in Las Vegas on March 21, 1945, at Las Vegas Hospital, delivered by Dr. CW Woodbury. She went home to 902 S Second Street with her mother Rose Kopp and brother Dick. Carol is survived by her husband of almost 58 years Mike McCullough, her daughter Cori Rose, son Casey Michael, son-in-law Mike, brother Dick and sister –in- law Sheri, granddaughters Mackenzie and Eavan, and grandson Reilly, niece Kelly and nephew Kevin.

She attended Fifth Street Grammar School where she was a Tigerette and then graduated from Las Vegas High School class of 1963 where she was active on the yearbook staff and Pep Club. She was a Rainbow girl and Student Senator. Later she attended NSU, now UNLV, where she served in Associated Women Students and New Sigma Epsilon sorority. She took a position in the Registration Office and advanced to the Department Secretary for the first Chairman of the new Hotel School, Jerry Vallens, and then became Business School Secretary under Dr Tom White. She remained a rabid Rebel fan as a season ticket holder, also allowing time to root on the Dodgers.

She actively supported her children by being PTA President at Will Beckley elementary and Little League Secretary and informal Valley HS baseball score keeper. She then became a legal secretary, teacher's aide, and retail store manager. Later she was active in organizing fund raising, charity events, and silent auctions where she was recognized many times for her dedication and aptitude.

Services will be on Thursday, April 24 with viewing at 9am, funeral at 10am and internment at 11 am at Palm Eastern, 7600 W Eastern Ave. , Las Vegas NV, 89123
