Las Vegas, Nevada - Darold John Michels, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on December 17, 2025 at 89 years old. Survived by his son, Wade Michels. Daughters Vikki Rodriguez, Michelle Rasmussen, Barbara Raak-Lamson and Rene`Michels-Revens. Sister Barbara Kohler, grandchildren & great grandchildren. Kown to everyone as "Mike", "Mikey" or "Uncle Punk". Born in North Dakota, he spent his youth in Missoula, MT. Later joined the Army & stationed over seas. He met his love, Rosemary, moved to Las Vegas, & raised 9 children together. They were married 56 years. He worked & retired from Wells Cargo Construction Co where he made lifelong friends. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, garden and make fishing poles. Later he cared for his wife Rosie with such strength, love and compassion. A kind, dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Always had a smile on his face & loved making people laugh. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvina Krebsbach and William Michels. His beloved wife, Rosie, children John, Mike, Kelly and Steve. Brothers Loel, Carl, Joe & sister Geraldine Anderson. It's time to go home Dad, you pulled your last shift. His family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses in the ER and ICU of Mountain View Hospital for the care & compassion they showed our father & family. Memorial services will be held on February 11, 2026 at 4:00pm at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd in Las Vegas.
