Henderson, NV - David Allen Boyd, 69, of Henderson, Nev. passed away on March 17, 2025. He was born October 18, 1955, in Rifle, Colo. David spent most of his youth living in Grand Junction, Colo. and Liberia, South Africa, where his father Dunston managed a mine. He attended college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz., where he met and fell in love with Tricia Kaske. They got married on March 19, 1977, and moved to Henderson, Nev. summer of 1980.

David had a dry sense of humor with plenty of 'bad dad' jokes. He was an incredibly patient and caring man who was resilient. With all of his health challenges he remained positive, upbeat and strong until the very end. While often quiet you just had to get him to yourself, then he would talk about everything under the sun including random weather trivia, sports stats and potentially useless information. Memories of him and the quality time spent together are cherished by family and friends.

David truly enjoyed and spent most of his time in support of his wife and children; supporting them in their various sports and activities! Endless trips to Southern California for swim meets and of course Disneyland where his favorite rides were Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and Indiana Jones. David loved sports and especially enjoyed live football, baseball and basketball. He was a proud supporter of UNLV Rebel basketball. David dedicated 37 years of service to the Bureau of Reclamation working as a Civil Engineer stationed out of the Hoover Dam and the Boulder City office. He was a Dam good engineer!

He is survived by his loving wife Tricia Boyd of 50 years; Jeremy Boyd, son; Jennifer Boyd Lemming, daughter along with her husband, Kelsey and their son Braxton Lemming; Sharon Sears, sister; Ann Boyd, stepmother, and many extended family members and loving friends.

The celebration of life will be held on what would have been his 70th birthday on Saturday, Oct. 18 in Henderson.
