The family of Dave Giles of Las Vegas, Nevada, is sad to announce he has passed away at the age of 79 years.

He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of 30 years, Sue Roberts Giles; daughters Jill Giles-Saenz (Matthew Saenz) and Tracy Giles; grandchildren Cade Saenz and Maddie Hillgruber; niece Alexis Moore (Jeff Crews); great-niece Morgan Crews; sisters-in-law, Arlene Randall and Angie Roberts; and niece Kassie Roberts.

He was predeceased by his parents, Nathan and Alberta Giles.

Born on May 26, 1945, in Miami, Florida, Dave led a wonderful life filled with family and laughter.

He was a Customer Service Agent for Delta Airlines at Miami International Airport from 1965 until 1978, but after that he did not pursue a "normal" career path - bowling and poker would become his " jobs."

He was always a competitive and athletic person with an avid mind for numbers and statistics. A fantastic bowler, in 1965 Dave competed on the Professional Bowler's Tour and was inducted into the Greater Miami Bowling Hall of Fame in 1977.

One of Dave's greatest passions in life was poker and he felt he was lucky to make his living from knowing when to hold'em and knowing when to fold 'em. He only played games where the "luck" revolved around his knowledge , skill and study of the game. He was proud to share this love for poker with Sue and taught her everything he knew about it. They enjoyed many years of playing poker and even ended up living in Las Vegas where they could play anytime they wanted.

Other pursuits and hobbies Dave loved were fishing, golf, movies, tv shows, family trips and nearly anything involving the outdoors and the ocean. His love for animals was well known as he had many pets over the years. His cat, Bella, will undoubtedly miss him.
