DENNIS W. NEWBERRY

Dennis Wayne Newberry was born February 7, 1948, and passed away March 27, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Jockie and Al Newberry, two sisters, Loralie Schaus, Alana Kindt; one son, Donovan. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Justin (Becki) and Casey; one sister, Jacque (Steve) O'Hara; two brothers, Allen (Brenda) and Rob (Mary); three grandchildren, Drew, Ian and Griffin, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Dennis graduated Western High School in 1966 then entered the Navy. After his service, he acquired his Journeyman and Master Electrician's licenses. Dennis was partners in electrical subcontracting and general subcontracting businesses including P-Berry Electric, Adobe Electric, Adobe Development, Adobe Communications Electronics and ACOM Tools. Dennis had a wonderfully creative mind and invented the ACOM Tools wire comb, which he and his partners had patented. Dennis was also very talented in his restoration of several different types of classic vehicles with one being featured in "American Rodder" magazine. Dennis also loved carving wood. He made totem poles, tikis, and unique walking sticks for people he cared for and considered special. He also carved a rustic bed head and footboard and a 5' bear motif lamp for their log cabin back east; a place where he loved spending many months each year. He had a unique zest for living, a quick and biting wit and wonderful sense of humor. He was very gifted with a demand for perfection in whatever he did. Dennis was a very kind, generous and gentle person and will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched. We take comfort knowing he is now in a much better place. In keeping with Dennis' wishes, no services will be held.
