DIANE C. KNEELAND

Diane C. Kneeland passed away on her 92nd birthday, April 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and resilience. She is survived by her 2 sons William L. Coulthard (Carla), their children Emma, Sawyer, and Meret, and son James Coulthard (Margaret), and their children Autumn, Will, and Blake, as well as step-daughter, Nancy Kneeland and beloved dog, Annie.

Diane was predeceased by her husbands, G. William Coulthard and George R. Kneeland, daughter Leslie Coulthard, and grandson Lane Coulthard.

A keen eye for art, Diane sold and collected artwork through the Kneeland Gallery, the greater love being the relationships she formed with her artists, their process, their families and their legacies.

Her green thumb found a place in many gardens and was a means to celebrate her home and nature's gifts.

No pet was too big, too small, too dirty, too loud or too naughty. Diane loved animals, her devotion not only extending to her own pets but also through supporting animal welfare causes.

Diane tended to her home, guests and garden with classical music in the background chased by a good novel and/or black and white movie. Her vocabulary and clever retorts were second to none as was her love for all those who had the absolute gift of being in her orbit. She navigated the complexities of various business structures with determination and grit, often the only woman among an army of men. The Grandmother Hall of Fame is paving a way for her arrival.

Diane's brilliance and unyielding spirit will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. Her small petite frame.... housed the grace and generosity of a giant.
