Donave Welker Stanley, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a short illness. She was 81 years old.
Born and raised in Robinson, Illinois, Donave graduated from Robinson High School and carried the warmth and values of her hometown with her throughout her life. A proud and dedicated mother of three, she later became a grandmother to eight and a great-grandmother to eight— roles she treasured deeply.
Donave made a lasting impression in her community through her many years as an Avon representative, building strong relationships and friendships along the way. Known for her kind spirit and friendly smile, she had a gift for connecting with people and always made others feel welcome and seen.
After moving to Las Vegas, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of life — especially playing bingo and keno, where she found both joy and companionship.
She is survived by her three children, Jay Stanley, Christie Stanley Noblitt, and her devoted son Matt Stanley with whom she lived in Las Vegas, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many dear friends who will remember her warmth, sense of humor, and generous heart.
A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her memory.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
