DONNA LEE M. UPSHAW

Donna Lee M. Upshaw, age 89, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Donna Lee (Punky) was born February 3, 1936, in Norton, Kansas to Ralph J. and Nell Stowers. She worked as a file clerk for Farmers Insurance Co. Prior to becoming a Homemaker. Donna Lee loved taking care of children, bowling, travelling, watching car races, going for walks, embroidering, sewing, cooking, gardening, reading, puzzles, and hunting and fishing with her husband. She made the best jam and jerky in Las Vegas and the best fudge, peanut butter fudge, and divinity in the world. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo after Sunday night dinners. Donna Lee also treasured her time with her bowling ladies. She will forever be remembered for her quiet, calm and supportive nature. For being humble, shy, intuitive, proper yet spunky, playful, especially with her great-grandchildren, frugal yet generous, and an amazing cook. She was the calm in any storm, a pillar of strength and the amazing woman behind the man, her husband Jerry. She always had a shoulder available to cry on and an ear to lend when one needed it. She will be forever Honored, Cherished, and Loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Lee Upshaw; parents, Ralph J. and Nell Stowers; her sister, Nelda Taylor; brother, Marlin Stowers; nephew, Keith Schantz and; daughter, Jeneva Divine; son, Jerry A. Upshaw. Donna Lee is survived by her sister, Renee (Bob) Bryan; niece, Tamara (Gary) Stevens; daughter, Joyce (Alfonso) Belteton; nieces, Margie Carr and Cathy Demand; seven grandchildren, Howard, Joseph (Brittany), Johnathan, Angelina, Chala, Tyrell, and Dakota (Alex); and seven great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Ashley, Ethan, Taya, Dennis, Gavin, and Zion.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11:00am-12 noon. Service will be from 12 noon-1:00pm and reception to follow from 1:00pm-3:00pm. All will be held at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones BLVD, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
