EDGERTON HARTWELL

Edgerton Hartwell, age 78, passed away on September 18, 2025 at the hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a long time Las Vegas resident of 70 years. He worked for Wells Cargo and the Labor Union until he retired in 2006. He was an avid barbecuer and golfer. He is survived by his wife of 51 years; Frances Johnnie Mae Hartwell, his daughter's; Wynona White (Danny), Rosie Hartwell, Chanel Gibson (Damien), and Stacy Hartwell, all of Las Vegas, Nevada, his son; Edgerton Hartwell II, of Atlanta, Georgia, his brother; William T. Hartwell "Dub," of Las Vegas, Nevada; 10 grandkids, 9 great-grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM, at Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89108. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00AM, at The Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St., Las Vegas, NV 89106. He will be buried with military honors immediately following the funeral service at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 N. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
