Mrs. Gail Mary Garfield Obituary

Las Vegas, Nevada - Gail Mary Garfield, passed away on May 28, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV. She was 81 years old.

Gail was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 7, 1943 to Irvin and Estelle Smith. She was the youngest of four siblings. She loved her memories as a child growing up in Chicago and spending most of her free time in the beauty salons owned by her mother eventually becoming a beautician herself.

Gail married the love of her life, a young man native of Evanston, Illinois, named Edmund Theodore Garfield. Together they had four children, Irvin, Russell, Dawn and Vincent.

The Garfield's moved to Elgin, Illinois and it was there that the couple established their family owned auto body shop. Eventually and after their children were all grown up, they decided to sell their business and move to the city they always loved, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gail loved people, dogs, music, dancing, playing bingo and meeting new friends. Sunday was her favorite day of the week, because it was family day. During the summers she spent a lot of time in her son Vincent's swimming pool, hanging out with friends, sharing stories and always happy and grateful.

Gail is survived by her four children, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her son in law Humberto, as well as extended family members and many friends.

Per her request, there will not be a funeral service.

There will be a celebration of life date TBD.
