GEORGE EREKSON HOLT
Dec. 20, 1936 - June 21, 2025
On June 21st, 2025, George Holt, our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City at 88, surrounded by family.
George Erekson Holt was born December 20, 1936, in Salt Lake City, the fourth of thirteen children, to William F. Holt and Irma Marie Erekson. He graduated from East High in 1955, and served two-and-a-half-year church mission in West Germany at 19.
George married Jerilyn Jones in 1960. He enjoyed a distinguished career as an attorney in Las Vegas, Nevada, including a stint as Clark County District Attorney from 1974–1978. He is survived by his ex-wife, 7 children, 19 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3rd, at 3100 East 3000 South in Salt Lake. Viewing 9:30-10:30, funeral at 11.
