Grace Herrington Richard, nee
Grace Helen Herrington, passed away
peacefully in her sleep in the morning
of May 30, 2025, with family at her
side. She was born and raised in San
Francisco, California, to George and
Hazel Herrington. She attended the
Katherine Delmar Burke School gradu

ed to San Francisco Society as a
debutant in 1954. With Alzheimer's as
a factor, Grace still lived a full life of
89 years. She was predeceased by her
devoted husband of 58 years, RB
Richard.
Grace and RB met at UC Berkeley
and started their whirlwind life to
gether; he as an Air Force pilot and
she managing their many moves, and
the raising of their five children, Bob
Richard (Darci), Tracey Richard (Bruce
Davis), Carrie Anderson, George
Richard (Candy), and John Richard
(Hali). From California, Texas, Mis
souri, Delaware, Oklahoma, Alabama,
Maryland, and Nevada, the Richard
home was always a place for friends
and family to gather.
As retirement lay ahead, Grace and
RB found great pleasure visiting chil
dren and grandchildren, cruising the
world, and visiting friends near and
far. Grace was a Gold Life Master in
contract bridge, could drink a full
"titch" of what was served, and was a
great Wife, Mother, Friend, Mother-in
Law, Grandmother, and Great Grand
mother.
Grace will be missed and remem
bered with love by her five children,
twelve grandchildren, and thirteen
(more to come) great-grandchildren.
