Las Vegas, NV - Ivan Lee Bohrer (Van) passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026. He was 94 years old, and was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. He lived independently in his home until the final 3 weeks of his life. He is survived by his son, Larry Bohrer (Ruth), and daughter, Tracy Ullman (Bill), and four granddaughters: Olivia, Samantha, Emily and Natalie.

Van was born in Los Angeles, California but was raised in Des Moines, Iowa. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War as a radar technician. Van attended Drake University, and graduated in 1954 with a degree in pharmacy. Upon college graduation, Van moved back to Los Angeles, where he began his career as a pharmacist in 1955. He eventually owned his own drug store in Westwood Village, Westwood Drug, where he built a beloved pharmacy business that served the local community, including the student body of UCLA, for decades.

Van and his second wife, Karen, moved to Las Vegas from California in 2000. Karen passed away in 2020, and is survived by her granddaughter, Ashley.

In addition to spending time with friends and family, Van loved playing tennis. He was a life long tennis player until the age of 90. His other passions included deep sea fishing with his son Larry, the Vegas Golden Knights, a good salami, and his nightly ritual of a scotch on the rocks. He was known for his often goofy sense of humor, his youthful spirit, and his concern for others' wellbeing.

Van was an extremely friendly and outgoing man and had a large circle of friends. He lived a full and long life; he enjoyed living independently on his terms, and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

A celebration of life to honor Van's memory will take place later this summer.
