James Geoge Behary, 86 of Paulden, AZ, passed away February 5, 2026. Jim was born in the Bronx, N. Y. to Steve Behary and Mildred Chapman.
Moving to Staten Island, he graduated from Tottenville high school in Tottenville, class of 1957, and RCA Institute in Manhattan.
Jim served in the U.S/ Air Force stationed in Vietnam, from 1962-1966.
After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, Jim worked for EG&G Energy Measurements for 21 years as Manager in the Mechanical Engineering Dept. before retiring to Paulden, AZ.
His love for hunting and restoring old cars was something he shared with his son, leaving a mark on him that will never fade. Jim also enjoyed dancing, working with his hands, and building his dream log home.
He is survived by his wife Patty of 64 years, a son James of Utah, a daughter Viki Ann and husband Don Schoemer of Las Vegas, 4 Grandchildren, Tiffany of Oregon, Ashley, Dylan and Lindsay of Las Vegas NV. , as well as friends and family members who will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans Association, a cause close to his heart. We find comfort in knowing that love he shared, and memories will be cherished forever.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled next month.
