JAMES LEE PERLOWSKI

James Lee Perlowski, age 79, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

He grew up in Chicago, IL. in High School he was known for his beautiful singing voice, he had professional training and performed in various clubs. After High School he joined the United States Army. After being Honorably Discharged, he attended and graduated from Morton Junior College and completed his bachelor's degree from Loyola University Chicago in 1970. After school he went to work for the Federal Government and the GSAO, then transferred to the Internal Revenue Service, where he worked for over 25 years. In that position he had an opportunity to move to warmer weather, which brought him to Las Vegas, NV, where he was a large team case coordinator, auditing many casinos in Las Vegas. He was a Special Events coordinator and represented the IRS at tournaments and boxing matches. Don King referred to him as the "Bounty Hunter", because he always got his man. He later became the Gaming Specialist for Las Vegas. After working for the IRS, he retired and went on to represent companies and individuals with their challenges with the IRS.

He was a sports fanatic. He especially loved Football, he often wore Raiders apparel, but he was a fan or whichever team he thought would win. He enjoyed gaming and placing bets on sports, which is part of the reason he selected Las Vegas as his home.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Michael and Barbara; his brother, Michael; his half-brother, George Hrdina; and his son, James Lee Jr. He is survived by his loving Wife, Rena; his daughter-in-law, LeAnn; his sister-in-law, Patricia; and a host of nieces and nephew which include their children as well, that he loved dearly.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 10am to 12pm, with a funeral service to follow, at Palm S Jones, 1600 S Jones BLVD. His burial will take place, Monday, December 2, 2024 at 10:40am, at SNVMC 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Boulder City, NV.
