James Blair Woofter (Jimmy) Obituary
Las Vegas, NV - Jimmy, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 10, 2026. Born and raised there, Jimmy graduated from Western High School in 1985 and later earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He went on to work for the State of Arizona in Management Information Systems.
Jimmy found peace in the outdoors, especially while fishing, boating, and spending quiet moments near the water. More than anything, he loved his family and the people closest to him. He had a gift for making others feel valued, whether through a kind word, a laugh, or a birthday call he never missed.
Jimmy will be remembered for his loving heart, his humor, and the way he made people feel seen, remembered, and loved. His unexpected passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who loved him, but his memory will continue to live on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel James and Lorraine Lillian Meighan, and Blair Lloyd Woofter; and his uncles, Roy Allen Woofter and Don Wallace Meighan. His name honored both of his grandfathers, Samuel James and Blair.
He is survived by his loving parents, Darrell Woofter and Charlene (William) Brooks; his sisters, Tammy (Thomas) Powers and Alycin (Thomas) Curtis; his brother, Matthew Woofter; his step siblings, Cherie (Andy) Larsen, Ann (Justin) Ray, Becky Brooks, Jackie Ray, and Billy (Brandi) Brooks; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
