Jane Marie Kober, 53, went gently into the arms of our Lord on September 20, 2021, surrounded by family and friends, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Jane Evans was born on January 3,
1968, and grew up in Suffield, Ohio, a fan of all things Buckeye. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ted Kober, whom she married on September 10, 1993. In November of 1995,
Ted brought Jane to Las Vegas, where they made their home. Jane had obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Kent State University in 1990 and, after settling in Las Vegas, she worked in the accounting department at Oasis/Camden Apartments, where she met many lifelong friends. In 2006, Jane went to work at UNLV and was a financial research
accountant for the university until her death. Jane loved her job, the people she worked with, and all Rebel sports. She loved traveling, the great outdoors, music, reading a good book,
drinking a cold one on a hot day, and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends. In her last hours, Jane could almost be heard saying, "Captain, I've given her all I got." Jane was preceded in death by her father, Walt, her brother, Kenny, her sister, Linda, and her brother-in-law, Rick Lott. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ted, her mother, Charlotte, her siblings Steve "Stubbs" (Lori), Diane Lott, Dan (Debbie), Dave, and Carol (Terry), several
nieces and nephews, and friends too many to name. There will be a private service in Nevada, followed by a Catholic church service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Randolph, Ohio, on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., and a Celebration of Jane's life on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Sunny Hills Golf Course, 3734 Sunnybrook Road, Brimfield, Ohio. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to Comprehensive Cancer Center of Nevada, which provided Jane with excellent care and allowed for a good quality of life over the past nine months.
