Janice London Birkin passed away at her home in Las Vegas, Nev., on Feb. 10, 2025, following a hip fracture with complications and known heart failure. Throughout it all, Janice retained her compassion, kindness, grace and elegance.

She is survived and greatly missed by husband Brent Betts Birkin, M.D.; son Barry Michael Birkin, M.D., and daughter-in-law Rebecca Rice Birkin; son Christopher London Birkin; daughter Danielle Birkin; sister Susan London Neibaur; brother Gregory Russell London; grandchildren Eric, Emily, Kylie and Megan; and great-grandson Elliot. She was preceded in passing by parents John Hunter London and Dorothy Russell London.

Janice was born on Sept. 4, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, and was raised in Bountiful, Utah. She attended the University of Utah and worked at Hill Air Force Base prior to her marriage to Brent Birkin on Aug. 21, 1962, in Odgen, Utah. She lived briefly in Maryland, where she worked at NASA in Greenbelt as an executive assistant in the office of the director, then settled in to focus on raising her three children, also living for a short time in Minneapolis and Idaho Falls, Idaho, before relocating permanently to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1974.

A homemaker who lived a full and vibrant life, Janice was an avid reader with an affinity for travel, particularly Bora Bora; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and Sun Valley, Idaho, where she spent her honeymoon. Janice was also equally happy spending time at home with her family, a glass of white wine, a few slices of veggie pizza and a good book.

Per her wishes, she was cremated and no services were held.
