Janice Ann Manganello (Jan) Obituary

Las Vegas, Nevada - Janice Ann "Jan" Manganello, of Las Vegas, passed away on March 9, 2026. She was born on September 22, 1944 in Paterson, NJ. She was the only child of Richard and Helen Saathoff.

Jan graduated from Pope Pius XII Catholic High School, Class of 1962, in Garfield, New Jersey and took a job as a clerk in the banking industry after graduation.

On Jan. 16, 1965, she married Andrew Manganello at Most Holy Name Catholic Church, also in Garfield. They started their family and in July 1974 they decided that they were going to move west and raise their family in Las Vegas. She was a dedicated mother whose first priority was her children. She spend countless hours helping her kids by doing household chores, helping them with their homework and driving them to many sports games, practices and other activities.

In 1979, she began working for the CCSD food service, retiring in 2003. In retirement, she was able to spend quality time at the cabin in Duck Creek. She especially enjoyed feeding the wildlife and doing some fishing with the grandkids (as long as someone else would bait her hook and unhook the fish that she caught). She also liked playing video poker and was always in search of the next "Royal".

Janice is survived by her sons Mark (Laurie), John (Susan) and Scott; grandsons Ryan and Matthew.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 S. Mountain Vista St., Las Vegas, Nevada 89121.
