It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim Roy, a true Mountain Man, who left this world peacefully on June 7, 2025, after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer. Born in 1953 in Fort Pierce, Florida, Jim lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication to his family.


Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Sherry Roy, and his two sons, Jeremy and Jason Roy. He was a proud grandfather to Ariel and Jasmine Roy, Damian Davue, and twins Olivia and Jacob, as well as three cherished great-grandchildren. Jim also embraced his role as a stepfather to Susan Lake (David), Robert Maxwell, Melissa Kemple (Kurtis), and Paul Maxwell, and he was a loving grandfather to seven step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.


Jim was born to Ginny Swisgood and Brian Roy, and he is survived by his sister, Susan Freese. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister, Barbara.


A man of many talents, he was a jack of all trades . Jim loved to build things and always kept himself busy with projects that showcased his creativity and skill. His passion for life and his unwavering spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

Jim Roy will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. And please remember to shut the door, but don't slam it!
