JO ANNE PLOG
Jo Anne Plog, born June 19, 1942, in Oakland, CA, passed away at her home in Las Vegas, NV, on June 29, 2026. Her life included military service, public service, and a wide range of professional roles. She served in the Women's Army Corps and later in the Army Reserves in Turkiye. After her military service, she had several careers including type setter, school teacher, budding author, and proudly served as President of Golf Terrace Neighborhood Association. Jo Anne is survived by her daughters Rebecca Martinez (Stewart), Mary Smith (Patrick), and Desiree Kirkpatrick (Wayne); her son Dieter Lee Stiglitz; and her grandchildren Samantha Marroquin, Brian Pankey, Andrew Pankey, Luca Smith, Owen Evans, Brody Evans, Chase Martinez, and Saige Davis. She is also survived by her brother Charles Plog, her sister Gail Erwin, and her beloved dog Tui. She was preceded in death by her father Roy Plog, her mother Mary Plog, her sister Janice Dennis, and her daughter Danielle Beal. Jo Anne enjoyed traveling and learning about different cultures. She taught English in China. She also lived with a local family in Mexico to learn Spanish and Mexican culture. Jo Anne will be interred at All Saints Episcopal Church where she faithfully served as parish administrator for many years. Jo Anne will be remembered by friends and family on Saturday August 1 at 11:00 am at All Saints Episcopal Church.
