JOE A'HEARN Obituary
JOE A'HEARN Joe A'Hearn, 77, passed away Sept. 24, 2017, in Waukon, Iowa, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966. Joe was a 49-year resident of Las Vegas. He was employed at the U.S. Post Office from 1968 until he retired in 2005. Joe enjoyed golf before and after retirement. He was active in Alcoholic Anonymous for many years. Joe is survived by his daughter, Sandra Sommer and grandchildren, Vanina and Stanislas, all of France; girlfriend, Merle Farmer of Las Vegas; siblings, Jean (Dean) Prestemon of Ames, Iowa, Mary (Bobby) Smith of Las Vegas, and Mike (Cari) A'Hearn of Waukon, Iowa; stepdaughters, Trish Hoeg and Michele (Mark) Callorina of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at St. Patricks in Waukon, Iowa.
