JOHN L. RHODES
In loving memory of John Lafayette Rhodes, 72. Long-term Las Vegas, NV. resident, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 after a valiant fight with stage 4 cancer.
Born in Grand Junction, CO. in 1952, 6 of 10 children. John lived his life full of passion! Retired from a lifetime career in construction. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and uncle. A true friend to all who knew him. A generous soul and creative spirit. An accomplished musician, writer and artist. Loved the outdoors, fishing, guitars, teaching and playing music, boxing, gardening, classic cars and travel. He traveled the world.
Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sally Em, and their legacy. Daughters Robbin Elizabeth and Emma Christine. Grandchildren Lauren Christine, Memphis Rhodes and Jocelyn Ann. Great-grandchildren Lacey Christine, Molly Elizabeth, Erik John and Hayden Everlee. We feel his loving wings around us and miss him dearly. Memorial service on March 21, 2025, at 3 PM. Davis Paradise Valley Memorial Park outdoor mausoleum. 6200 S. Eastern Ave in Las Vegas, NV.
