Jorgen Regner Nielsen, 66, of Indian Wells, California, passed away on July 7, 2026.

Born near Slagelse, Denmark, Jorgen left his small hometown for California, where he built a remarkable life and career. A fabulous and unforgettable celebrity hairstylist, he owned his own salons and worked in some of the most prestigious hotels in Las Vegas. His talent was extraordinary, but his true gift was the way he connected with people.

Jorgen was funny, generous, stubborn, full of grit, and completely himself. He had an infectious laugh and a rare ability to find joy, light, and humor in almost anything. To know him was to be loved by him, entertained by him, and forever changed by him.

He is deeply loved and survived by his husband, Randy Apel; his sister, Liselotte Sukonnik; his brother, Jens Nielsen; his nieces, Tenna Bryde, Emma Sukonnik, and Brandy Martinez; and Randy's sister, Debbie Jones.
