JOSEPH LEE WOODRUFF

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Joseph Lee Woodruff, who passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 78, in Mesquite, Nevada.

Joseph was born on January 28, 1947, in Murray, Utah, and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1965. He proudly served in the United States Army and later worked as a government contractor affiliated with the Department of Energy.

He found great joy in the outdoors, especially fishing in Southern Utah, hunting in Nevada and Arizona, and participating in chili cook-offs with his cousin, Bob Patchin.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Woodruff. He is survived by his son, Brian Woodruff, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Dooley-Woodruff; his sister, Jessie Moll; his brother and sister-in-law, Jade and Judy Woodruff; his nephew, Ted Woodruff; and his nieces, Kim Woodruff and Ashley Moll.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Park Foundation or The Nature Conservancy in Joseph's memory.
