Juanez Humes, 78, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on December 24, 2024. She was born on December 8, 1946, in Kilgore, Texas, to the late Mildred Burleson and Robert L Burleson. Juanez spent most of her life in Las Vegas, Nevada, before moving to Springfield, Missouri, where she spent her final days surrounded by loved ones.
Juanez was known for her incredibly giving nature and a heart full of compassion. She loved deeply and lived her life with a genuine warmth that touched everyone she met. Always the first to offer help, her kindness and generosity knew no bounds. Juanez had a way of making others feel seen, loved, and important, and her infectious spirit will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sister, Glenda Hansen; daughters Tammy Donnelly and Barbie Humes; grandchildren Shauna Davis, Nash Donnelly, and Daniel Donnelly; and great-grandchildren Erin and Haylee Davis.
Juanez was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kenneth John Humes, whose memory she held dear until the very end. In keeping with her final wishes, Juanez will be laid to rest alongside Kenneth, with their ashes spread atop the graves of her parents.
At this time, there will be no public services held. The family asks that you honor Juanez's memory by remembering her for the love and light she brought into the world. She will be forever cherished and missed by all who knew her.
May her heart of gold continue to shine in the lives of those she touched.
