North Las Vegas, Nevada - Kathryn Pearl Reno Wedmore,

Affectionately known as Kathy to her friends and family,

passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 80 in North Las Vegas, NV.

Born on September 13, 1944, in Bakersfield, CA, to Lavern & Florence Reno. She grew up in Garden Grove, CA. She graduated from Garden Grove High School.

Kathy married the love of her life, Gary Wedmore, in 1967. They raised three sons in Garden Grove, California, later moving to Bullhead City, AZ , where they built a log home and enjoyed many years together before relocating to North Las Vegas in 2007.

Kathy worked several years at the Carpenters' Union in Bullhead City and was known for her dedication and warmth.

Kathy was a devout Catholic, her faith was the cornerstone of her existence. It guided her through life's challenges and joys. Her faith was not only a personal comfort, but an inspiration to her family and the community she held dear.

Her gift for pottery, oil painting, knitting, and crocheting served as an outlet to create warm and intricate pieces to give to her loved ones.

Her grandchildren, in particular, were the recipients of her vast knowledge. She passed on her skills with patience and joy. Kathy's legacy is woven into the fabric of every scarf, captured in the glaze of each pot, and preserved in the strokes of her paintings—artifacts of a life lived with passion and purpose.

Those who knew Kathy would describe her as a creative soul, faith-filled, and loving. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room with her presence and to make each person she encountered feel valued and seen.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Gary Wedmore, of 57 years. Sons Erik Wedmore, of North Las Vegas, David Wedmore (Jen), Boulder City, Stephen Wedmore (Leif), North Las Vegas,

8 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, with two great-grandchildren on the way.

She also leaves behind a brother, Steve Reno (Karen) (California), her sister Miriam Reno, (Arizona), and brother Les Reno (Debi) (Tennessee) and many loving nieces and nephews.

Her spirit, though no longer in physical form, remains an indelible part of the world she has left behind, a world that is undoubtedly better for having been graced by her presence.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church, North Las Vegas

10 am August 7, 2025

A Rosary will precede the Mass at 9:30 am

Reception at Palm Northwest Mortuary
