Lawrence Kind (Larry) Obituary

Henderson, NV - Lawrence (Larry) Kind, of Henderson Nevada, passed away peacefully in May of 2025 at age 98 in the comfort of home surrounded by his loving family.


He was born in 1926 and lived at various times throughout his life in Michigan, California, Missouri, and Illinois before returning again to California and settling in the San Francisco North Bay area for 36 years. He then finally relocated to Henderson, Nevada.


Larry was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. During a long working career after the war he was a court and conference reporter, an engineering technical writer for major defense contractors, and he logged a 30-year career as a pilot for Trans World Airlines. He was a lifelong financial investor for himself and others. He was a 74-year, 32nd degree Freemason and a devoted Christian man.


Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Esther Kind. He is survived by his children Jeffrey, Pamela, Laura and Curtis, his five grandchildren Westley, Philip, Zoe, Alia and Skyelar, his two great-grandchildren Sawyer and Finn, his sister Christine, and a close group of associates and friends.


Larry was a well-respected member of the community. He lived an honorable and full life. He is dearly missed by his family members and friends.
