Las Vegas - LEONARD THOMAS LAGOE

Leonard Thomas "Len" Lagoe, 70, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Oswego, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born on February 27, 1955, in Oswego, Len was the son of the late Marjorie (Cloonan) and W. Raymond Lagoe Sr. A 1973 graduate of Oswego High School, Len went on to enjoy a fulfilling 39-year career at Novelis Inc. Plant before retiring. Known for his passion for life and deep love of family, Len cherished spending time with his two beloved granddaughters, Suzanna Grace, and Addison Virginia Lagoe. Len was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth J. (Strong) Lagoe; his son, Leonard T. Lagoe Jr. (Barbara); his granddaughters, Suzanna Grace, and Addison Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He also leaves behind his cherished pets: Sparkle, Belle, Vegas, Jade, and Salem. Len was one of five siblings and is survived by W. Raymond Jr. (Carol), Kenneth (Susan), James (Sandra), and MaryAnn Abbott. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Richard and Michael, and his brother-in-law Burt Abbott. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Len was deeply involved in super-modified racing, working on pit crews for various drivers. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, softball, poker, and coin collecting, and was a familiar face on local softball fields as both an umpire and scorekeeper. He also loved traveling with his son's hockey teams and was an avid supporter of the Vegas Golden Knights. Len was a proud member of the Oswego Elks Lodge. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Lamar Romero, Pat Strong, Bill Strong, Dick Strong, Mike & Dawn Leduc, Bill & Linda Samuels, Bob & Sue Hoefer, Don & Chris Gioia, Steve & Sue Gioia, Dave & Leann Bauer, Don & Shirley Wallace, Al Ramos, and Nicholas Morales for their support, friendship, and care. A celebration of life and closing ceremonies will be held on Monday, September 1st at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Len's memory to Nathan Adelson Hospice, the Cleveland Clinic, or the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
