On August 15, 2024, we mark the first anniversary of the passing of Lincoln Charles Spolar, known to his family and friends as Linc. Linc was an Army Veteran and a Retired K-9 Chicago Police Officer who served on the force for 32 years before retiring to Las Vegas with his wife, Ellen, and former K-9 partner, Buster, in 1999. Not ready to slow down yet, he worked Security at Rampart Casino in Summerlin for about 15 years.

Linc enjoyed going out to local restaurants for breakfast with Ellen, spending time with friends, and floating (falling asleep) in his pool, and visiting all the local casinos in the evenings.

In addition to his beloved spouse, Linc is survived by his son, Brian Spolar, Deputy Chief of Police for the Village of Buffalo Grove in Illinois which he was so proud of and his sisters, Linda Kramer (Allan) and Jeanie Olian- Dowdall.
