Las Vegas, NV - Linda (Smith) Marx, Age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, as the only child of Ralph and Margaret Smith, Linda proudly represented the spirit of her hometown throughout her life. After the passing of her husband, Dennis C. Marx in 1996, she chose to move closer to family in Las Vegas. This decision proved to bring her great joy, new friendships, and connections.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Robin (Marx) Mackerley and her husband, Michael, and Holly (Marx) Addleman and her husband, Brian. She was grandmother to Maggie and Brayden (Mackerley), Earnen and Callie (Addleman), and to Kieran (Wilson). Linda also leaves behind her treasured great-granddaughter, Rory, for whom a star in the night sky will now shine brighter, lit by Linda's (Lulu's) unwavering love.

A woman of great intelligence and determination, Linda was a published author, earned multiple master's degrees and built a successful career with Bell Telephone and AT&T. But it was her work outside the office that truly defined her legacy. For nearly 30 years, Linda served the Kiwanis organization, formed unequaled friendships, and made a lasting impact in her community.

Linda was also a talented crocheter and quilter who expressed her love through her hands. Quick to gift blankets which she stitched with skill, warmth and affection to those she held dear.

Even at 76, Linda's closest friendship dated back to high school. Her bond with her dear friend MaryEllen stood the test of time and the two promised to reunite for "one heck of a high school reunion".

In the end, Linda's heart had loved so many, and so deeply, it simply needed to rest. Her life was a tapestry of kindness, determination, and generosity — and her spirit will continue to bring comfort to those she loved.
