Las Vegas, NV - Lorna McBroom, 92, passed away on April 2, 2025. She was born in Oxford, England, and remained a proud British citizen throughout her life. In 1958, she married Howard McBroom, an American serviceman stationed in England. Their life together was filled with adventure, traveling across the U.S. and the world due to his military service.

In 1974, they settled in Boulder City, Nevada, where they raised their family. After their children graduated school, they moved to Las Vegas, where they remained.

She was a devoted wife and mother, raising two sons, Mark and Gregg. After her children were grown, she worked part-time giving bus tours of Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam, where her British accent was a favorite among visitors.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—especially low-limit video poker, where she happily spent hours playing for fun. She never turned down a good deal on a buffet and always made sure to sneak home a little something for her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, and her son, Gregg.

She is survived by her son, Mark and her daughter-in-law, Franceen. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
