Louise McMillan Kempf (Louise) Obituary

Louise McMillan Kempf, aged 88, of Henderson, Nevada, died March 2, 2025 of natural causes.

Louise was born in 1936 in McCloud, California, to Gene and William McMillan. Her father died when she was 3 and she moved to Whittier, California, with her mother, sister, Gene, and brother, Bill. She graduated with honors from Whittier High School and Whittier College with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. She married Peter T. Kempf in April 1958, and spent the next thirty-three years traveling the globe as an Air Force family. After they retired from the Air Force in 1991, they settled in Henderson, Nevada, where Louise taught Physical Education at Warren Walker School for 11 years.

Louise had an immense impact on all of the many, many people she interacted with throughout her time with the Air Force and as an educator. She was a life-long fitness fanatic, jogging 7.5 miles a day, almost every day for over 40 years. She also diligently practiced Tai Chi after she was no longer able to run.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Laura Kempf, son, Steven Kempf, daughter-in-law, Marshon Kempf, and granddaughters, Taylor and Rachel Kempf, and her sister Gene. No memorial service will be held. Her remains will be cremated and spread by family in a private ceremony.
