Lynette Rene Dye Obituary

Las Vegas, Nevada - Lynette Rene Dye, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 22, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was 70 years old.

Lynette was born on August 24, 1954, in Plentywood, Montana, to George and Adeline Rierson. Raised with strong values, quiet resilience, and a fierce love for her family, Lynette carried these virtues throughout her life. She was known for her unwavering strength, gentle humor, and her ability to face life's hardships with grace and determination.

In 1999, Lynette was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer—the first of several devastating diagnoses she would endure. Yet she never once complained. Instead, she fought with grit and dignity for more than two decades, determined to be present and supportive for her sons. She took pride in being tough—her strength was quiet but unbreakable—and it inspired her sons throughout their lives.

She is survived by her two devoted sons, Thomas Dye and Michael Ellis; her daughter-in-law, Julianne Stack; and her treasured grandchildren, Michael Ellis Jr. and Adeline Ellis. She also leaves behind her loving brother, Greg Rierson; her nieces, Roni Rierson and Darbi Carpenter; and her nephew, Tyler Rierson.

Lynette was preceded in death by her parents, George and Adeline Rierson, and her brothers, Ron Rierson and Kirtley Rierson, whom she loved dearly and remembered often.

Her legacy is one of resilience, unconditional love, and sacrifice. She was the kind of mother who showed up, never wavered, and never made her struggles anyone else's burden. Her strength lives on in her family, who will continue to honor her memory and the remarkable life she lived.

A private family memorial will be held to celebrate Lynette's life.

She was, and will always be, our rock.
