Maria Anita Rodriguez Cruea Obituary

MARIA ANITA RODRIGUEZ CRUEA

It is with deep sadness that the family of Maria Anita Rodriguez Cruea announces her passing on September 26, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, one month shy of her 89th birthday, after a long journey with dementia.

Maria was born on October 26, 1936, in San Benito, Texas, to the late Jose and Genoveva Rodriguez. She was the second oldest of nine siblings, growing up in a large and loving family.

In 1957, while working at an Air Force Base, Maria met and fell in love with Jack Cruea, an airman stationed there. Soon after, they married, and for the next 28 years, Maria dedicated herself to supporting Jack's military career, working for the government at each base where he was assigned. When Jack retired from the military, they settled in Las Vegas, where Maria continued her career with the Internal Revenue Service until her own retirement.

Maria's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Jack; her children, Jackie, Dean (Courtney), and René; and her eight cherished grandchildren, Chad, Zach, Preston, Cody, Kamren, Alexa, Charlie, and George. Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
