MARIE CASUCCIO D'ALESSIO

Marie Casuccio D'Alessio was born in Steubenville, Ohio on August 4, 1919. Passed January 13, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 105. She was the daughter of Salvatore Casuccio and former Rosa Tortorici both immigrants from Sicily. She was a 1937 graduate of Steubenville High School and attended a Presbyterian Seminary for Women in Tennessee thereafter. Following her education, she returned to Steubenville and worked initially in accounting for Biggio Ford, later taking a position in the Trust Department of the First National Bank.

She was a longtime and active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. In 1973 she married the Love of her Life, James D'Alessio. Three years later the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James and her brothers, John and Joseph Edward Casuccio. She is survived by her sister, Josephine Dettorre, two nieces, Dianne Casuccio and Karen Zumpetta, and four nephews, Michael Dettorre, Richard Casuccio, Gary Casuccio, and David Casuccio. She was the favorite aunt who helped with homework, read stories, showed how to see the moon and the planets through a telescope, taught arts and crafts, and spent endless hours playing cards and board games with her nieces and nephews. Marie was an amazing, loving, caring person who shared her love and knowledge with those around her. There will be no services. She will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.
