With her mother and grandmother (Merle Casteel) Marilynn moved to Boulder City Nevada in 1942 where she attended elementary, middle and high school.

Marilynn loved fashion and modeling. Her first employment was modeling for and managing Johnsons Dress Shop in downtown Las Vegas during the 1950s. In the 1960s she worked at the Top of the Mint. The Mint was the tallest building in the State at the time. During the 1970s she worked her way up to manager at the original Village Pub. Prior to retirement she managed an executive aviation company and owned and operated a cratering business in Las Vegas.
Marilynn loved dancing and won many dance contests. She had an adventurous nature that led her to learn to fly, paraglide, ski, dive and surf. She spent her free time boating and water skiing on Lake Mead or white-water rafting in the mountains of North America. Marilynn's favorite travel getaways were her annual trips to sunny beach locations like Belize, Mexico, Costa Rica, Fiji, French Polynesia, Hawaii, and the Caribbean where she would dive, snorkel and hang on the beach. Most of all Marilynn loved Las Vegas and the dry desert heat of the Southwest.
Marilynn was know for her infectious smile, her penchant to make people laugh and her many stories of growing up in Boulder City and living in Las Vegas during it's Golden Age. She will always be loved and greatly missed by her friends and family. Marilynn is survived by her son John Williamson, daughter-in-law Cynthia Williamson and granddaughter Mackenzie Williamson.
