Mark Yoseloff Obituary

Las Vegas - MARK LAURENCE YOSELOFF

May 31, 1946 - Feb. 18, 2026

Today, we celebrate what would have been our King's 80th birthday. We honor him by sharing with the world what he meant to all of us.

To the world, he was an innovator, a teacher, and a true gaming legend. A member of the Gaming Hall of Fame, a professor at Arizona State, Princeton, and UNLV, CEO of Shuffle Master, founder of the program for Gaming Innovation at UNLV, and the holder of too many patents to count, Mark did it all - and he did it exceptionally well.

To his family, he was the man who filled our lives and hearts with the very best life had to offer. He was a brother, an uncle, and a friend. But most of all, he was an extraordinary Papa to six incredible boys: Alexander, Declan, Dominic, Dean, Leonardo, and Laurence. He was a kind, yet appropriately stern, father-in-law to Rainer, Arthur, and Amanda. He was equally remarkable in his role as a father to his children, Mimi, Jill, Joe, and Sarah.

You could find him in the stands or the bleachers at basketball games and Little League games, at graduations, and even at bridge-building competitions at UNLV. He never missed an opportunity to support the people he loved.

His daughter Mimi sadly passed away in 2004. Mark and Mimi shared a truly special bond. They loved discussing business together, as they were two of the brightest minds imaginable. A piece of Mark's heart left with his beloved Mimi, and now they can be reunited in a beautiful way.

His daughter Jill says, "I loved him unconditionally. I loved his heart, his humor, and the special times when he helped me through life's challenges. His passing has left a hole in my heart, and I will love and miss him forever."

In the words of his son Joe, "His knowledge, generosity, and mentorship meant the world to me. He was my advisor. He was our Papa to our boys."

To me, Sarah, he was my best friend, my person, my hero, and my constant source of unconditional love and support for 39 years. He was the most incredible man I will ever know. My son Laurence inherited his humor and beautiful spirit. I miss him today, tomorrow, and every day thereafter. Forever and always, I will be Daddy's little girl.

We all miss him with our whole hearts and will honor his memory through our children and ourselves for all the years to come.

Most of all, for more than 45 years, he was the best friend, great love, life partner, and travel companion of his wife, Pat. Their dogs: Jasmine, Maggie, Bentley, and Lily were pampered and enjoyed lives of canine luxury. Together, Pat and Mark shared a legendary love story, filled with triumph, tragedy, and the kind of infinite love that defines the truly unforgettable.

In the words of his wife, Pat: "My husband Mark was the love of my life, my companion, protector, and teacher. Through his mind of limitless knowledge, he taught me so much. The greatest gift two people can share is a connection like ours—so deep, sometimes challenging, yet ultimately unbreakable. Mark, I love you. You will be in my heart forever."

Mark will be missed for the beautiful smile that entered every room before he did, for the dance moves he brought to every party, and, most of all, for the great love and passion he brought to everything and everyone he cherished in this world.

Forever and always, to infinity and beyond, we love you.
