Las Vegas, NV - Mary Yolanda Miller-Hammann passed away surrounded by family on July 13th, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 75. She was born on May 19th, 1950 at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington D.C. to Steven Madosik Jr. and Norma Emily Madosik. Mary grew up in Maryland, and later moved to Las Vegas, NV, where she lived the rest of her life, though she never stopped being a Redskin fan.
Mary dealt cards at the Plaza Hotel and various casinos, and later she began her career at Albertsons where she would remain for over 25 years. She was extremely proud when she was promoted to scan coordinator and really enjoyed that position until she retired.
Mary always loved being in nature, watching the sunset, fishing, gardening, and she really adored hummingbirds. She was an exceptional cook, and a devoted mother to her 5 children. Mary had a strong foundation in faith. She loved her country and was very patriotic. In retirement, she grew to become an avid gamer, and enjoyed playing in an online gaming community. She was an incredibly thoughtful, caring and generous person, who has touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by her husband, Dale Alan Hammann; daughters, Kelly Rae Miller-Buhanan and Lisa Marie Hammann; sons, Jonathan Alan Hammann and Dylan Archer Hammann; grandsons, Noah Alexander and Gavin Neo Hammann-Arevalo; granddaughter, Sofia Elizabeth Hammann; and brothers, Steven Madosik III, Lawrence Roger Madosik, and Mark Bradley Madosik. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert James Miller Jr.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held privately with her family.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
