It is unbelievable that 10 years have passed since the unimaginable occurred. There are still moments when it seems surreal, like this is simply a bad dream, not our reality.

Occasionally, when walking through the house, there is a whiff of your cologne. As if you are reminding me because you think I have forgotten.

You remained with us every day of this past decade, through the joys and sorrows; celebrations and humiliations; through life. We know you were with us for the milestones; proms, high school graduations, Basic training; first loves and losses.

I know that you are proud of the kids, who are no longer children. Bryce is the living reminder of you.

How he carries himself; his soft side; a gentle man with a tender heart; in his service to the community and country. You live on in Berkeley, too, in her spirit; her drive to excel in everything she endeavors; her pursuit of self-improvement and how she holds herself to the highest standards.

We have made the best of our lives even though you are not physically with us as the memory of you nurtures and propels us. We miss you and keep you in our hearts, every day.
