NANCY WOODS BRYAN BENTLEY

Nancy Woods Bryan Bentley of Las Vegas passed away July 21, 2025. As she wished, she passed peacefully in her home among family.

Nancy was born on July 3, 1936, in Boston. She was the second of two daughters born to Clement and Frances Bryan. Nancy was raised in the Cleveland area and resided most of her life in Las Vegas.

Nancy attended Colby Junior College and Bucknell University until the birth of her first son. While raising her family, she completed her degree in psychology, graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1987.

Nancy married Justin (Judd) Smith and had two boys, Brian and Scott. Nancy and Judd later divorced. Nancy then married William Bentley and welcomed his family into her life. Nancy and William later divorced.

Nancy was preceded in death by her older sister, Jean Fields. She is survived by her sons, Brian and Scott, and their spouses. Nancy is also survived by her grandchildren, Logan, Karsten, Kyler, Braeden, and Ashlyn. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren with number 13 to arrive soon.

Nancy enjoyed playing bridge and was a voracious reader. She was active in the Junior League of Las Vegas for many years.

Nancy was a member of the Shaker Heights High School sorority ASD (Always Sisterly Devotion). From 1951 until present, the women meet most years in the location of a member. The social group remains active using Zoom to connect monthly.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held August 23, 11am to 3pm at her home. 108 S. Buteo Woods Lane, Las Vegas.
