NEIL SWISSMAN

Dr. Neil Swissman, age 90, of Las Vegas, retired anesthesiologist, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Born on October 26, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Grace and Samuel Swissman. After earning both his undergraduate and medical degrees from The Ohio State University, Neil went on to enjoy a distinguished career in anesthesiology, including serving as President of the American Society of Anesthesiologists in 2001. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Swissman. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Deborah (née Morris); children, Gayle (Brian) Schwartz, Sherree (Bob) Dolginoff, Josh (Courtney) Swissman, and Megan (Daniel) Buikema; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. At this time, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Neil's name may be made to the Faith Lutheran High School Scholarship or Athletic Fund, 2015 S. Hualapai Way, Las Vegas, NV 89117. Arrangements are by Palm Southwest Mortuary.
