Oswald "Ozzie" K. Aaserud, born in Hannaford, N.D., in 1932, died March 9, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. He was a Korean War veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He attended college and became an accountant. He married Martha Foss June 19, 1960, and lived in Great Falls, Mont., for 30 years. He received a Life Member Award from the Optimist International Club. He served various church offices. He was active with Little League baseball and served as president of the Booster Club for the Great Falls Giants Baseball Club. He is survived by his wife; his children, Tammy Wight of Las Vegas, and Kenneth (Mary Jo) Aaserud, Prescott, Ariz.; his grandchildren and his remaining brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Lakes Lutheran Church, 8200 W. Sahara Ave., 89117. Interment will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ozzie's name to the Lakes Lutheran, Nathan Adelson Hospice, or the Nevada Cancer Society.
